Missionaries

by E. F. Hayward

One need not go to foreign land
To be a missionary,
Just do the work that is at hand,
That's all that's necessary.

The weak and sinful, both, are here,
In this enlightened Nation.
Don't be surprised if some appear
Among your own relation.

If you would save a Soul or two,
Do not rush across the seas;
There's plenty here, for you to do,
Why not save a few of these?

If saving Souls be what you crave,
You will not have far to roam;
First ask the Lord, your own to save,
Then, do mission work at home.
